Magnus Hawker-French

Magnus is a 22-year-old professional musician with five years of teaching experience across a wide range of instruments and styles, including trombone, piano, violin, viola, trumpet, and ukulele. 

 

He studied Jazz Trombone at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and holds Grade 8 qualifications in Trombone, Piano, and Viola, as well as an ALCM diploma on Trombone. 

 

Alongside teaching, he is an active performer on the UK’s music scene, playing for shows and appearing at leading venues such as Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, PizzaExpress Live, the Jazz Café, and Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall. 

 

He is also a regular on the recording scene, having worked at Abbey Road Studios and recorded with Chaka Khan. Magnus is passionate about making music accessible, engaging, and inspiring for students of all ages and abilities.
