Benji Wilson

Benji Wilson is a professional guitarist, bassist, producer, arranger and music teacher based in North London.

 

With years of experience performing, teaching and recording, he has established himself as a well rounded session musician. 

 

Growing up in the Yorkshire dales, Benji’s love for music started at an early age and began taking guitar lessons at 5 years old.

 

From listening to artists such as BB king, Stevie Ray Vaughn and D’Angelo his passion for music only grew. Benji studied A level music and got to grade 8 in electric guitar. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in Popular Music Performance. Since then, he has performed at venues and festivals across the UK and internationally, including the Marciac Jazz festival, Henley Festival and Carfest.

 

His session work has seen him play and produce for a range of big artists and bands, spanning genres from jazz and soul to rock and blues. 

 

As a teacher, Benji has worked with students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to experienced musicians. His lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, focusing on making learning the guitar/bass a fun and motivating experience. Whether it’s learning a student’s favourite song, improvisation, or music theory, he provides a perfect environment to help students reach their full potential.
