What This Covers
 

By booking lessons, you agree to these terms. If booking for a child under 18, you (parent/guardian) are responsible for accepting these terms on their behalf.
 

2. BOOKING & LESSONS
 

How to Book
 

 Phone, email, or WhatsApp. Booking confirmed when we send written confirmation.
 

Lesson Options
 

  • Duration: 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes

  • Location: Your home, tutor's studio, or online

  • Age: From 5 years old (case-by-case for younger). All adults welcome.
     

Tutors
 

  • We match you with a suitable tutor based on availability and your needs

  • All tutors are Enhanced DBS checked, qualified musicians, and insured

  • Tutors are self-employed contractors, not employees

  • You can request a different tutor anytime (subject to availability)
     

3. PAYMENT

Please find pricing page HERE and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. 
 

Payment Methods
 

Bank transfer, card (Stripe). All payments to be done to the academy directly. 
 

4. CANCELLATIONS
 

By You (Student)
 

  • 24+ hours notice: Free cancellation/reschedule

  • Less than 24 hours: Full lesson fee charged, no refund or reschedule

  • Emergency exceptions: Serious illness/family emergency considered case-by-case
     

How to Cancel
 

Email, phone, WhatsApp, or contact your tutor directly.
 

By Tutor/Us
 

We'll reschedule or provide an alternative tutor. Full refund if we can't provide a suitable alternative.
 

5. REFUNDS
 

First Lesson (Trial)
 

If unsatisfied, we'll offer an alternative tutor or full refund.
 

Ongoing Lessons
 

  • No refunds once lesson completed

  • Lesson packages: Non-refundable but transferable to family member or convertible to credit (6 months)
     

Exceptional Circumstances
 

In cases of serious illness, permanent relocation, or bereavement, we will refund unused prepaid lessons. 

- Submit request in writing with supporting documentation

 - Refund calculated for unused lessons only

 - Processed within 14 days

14-Day Cooling Off

​

For online/phone bookings: Cancel within 14 days for full refund of unused prepaid lessons (unless you've waived this by starting lessons).

6. RESPONSIBILITIES

​

Parents/Guardians (Under 18s)

​

  • Must be present in home during home lessons

  • Young children: Adult nearby/in same room recommended

  • For studio lessons: Drop off and collect on time

  • For online lessons: Adult supervision required
     

Students
 

  • Treat tutors with respect

  • Arrive on time/be ready

  • Have instrument and materials ready

  • We reserve right to terminate for aggressive, abusive, or unsafe behavior (no refund)
     

Your Home (For Home Lessons)
 

  • Provide safe, clear space

  • Control pets during lessons

  • Remove hazards

  • Tutor can leave if environment unsafe (lesson fee still applies)
     

Instruments
 

You provide your own instrument (except piano/drums at tutor's studio). Keep the instrument in good condition.


 

7. HEALTH & SAFETY
 

Illness

  • Cancel if contagious (COVID, flu, etc.) - standard 24-hour cancellation policy applies

  • Tutor illness: Lesson rescheduled, no charge
     

Medical Conditions

Inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or behavioral needs relevant to lessons.

Safeguarding

8. LIABILITY & INSURANCE

What We're Responsible For

  • Death/injury caused by our negligence

  • Fraud
     

What We're NOT Responsible For

  • Injuries during lessons (unless tutor negligence)

  • Damage to your property/instrument (unless tutor negligence)

  • Failure to achieve exam results or musical goals

  • Tutor cancellations due to illness/emergency
     

Maximum Liability

Limited to what you've paid us in the previous 12 months.
 

Our Insurance

£5 million Public Liability Insurance + Professional Indemnity
 

Your Responsibility

You're liable for damage you (or your child/household) cause to tutor's equipment or property.
 

9. DATA & PRIVACY

  • We process data under UK GDPR (see Privacy Policy for details)

  • We collect only necessary info: name, contact, lesson preferences

  • Data shared only with your assigned tutor

  • You can request access, correction, or deletion anytime

10. PHOTOS & RECORDINGS
 

Lessons

  • Tutor may record for progress tracking (with consent)

  • You may record for personal practice (with tutor consent)

  • No public sharing without written consent
     

Marketing

  • We may request permission to use photos/videos for promotion

  • Written parental consent required for under-18s

  • You can withdraw consent anytime
     

11. EXAMS & PROGRESS
 

Exam Prep

  • ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation available

  • Exams optional

  • We cannot guarantee results

  • Exam entry and fees are your responsibility
     

Progress

Varies by individual, practice, and dedication. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

12. HOLIDAYS & BREAKS

  • Your holidays: No charge for agreed breaks (notify in advance)

  • Our holidays: Lessons rescheduled or alternative tutor provided

  • School holidays: Lessons continue unless you request break

14. ENDING LESSONS

By You

  •  Stopping Lessons Permanently: 

- Give us 7 days' notice if you want to stop lessons entirely

Unused package prepaid lessons: Non-refundable but transferable to family member or convertible to credit 

- Exception: Serious illness, permanent relocation, or bereavement = refund for unused lessons (see Section 5)

Single Lesson Cancellations: - See Section 4 (24-hour cancellation policy applies)

15. LEGAL

Governing Law

These terms governed by laws of England and Wales.

Consumer Rights

Services provided with reasonable care and skill. If we fail: You may be entitled to repeat performance, price reduction, or refund.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use = acceptance.
