Darius Oon

Darius Oon is a guitarist, songwriter, arranger and multi-instrumentalist based in London. Originally from Singapore, Darius is a founding member of indie-rock/dreampop outfit Coming Up Roses and brings with him an extensive experience in the recorded and live music sector. Across his various projects, Darius has completed tours in Asia as well as performed at festivals including Canadian Music Week and Liverpool Sound City.

 

In addition to his role in Coming Up Roses, Darius is also a well-accomplished session guitarist working across a myriad of genres. Some of his current engagements include the funk-pop of Marland Barsby, the jazz/soul of ZAVA and performing as an acoustic duo together with Brace Mitchell. He is also a seasoned regular on the London pub circuit, performing every weekend as part of HIT ME! Bandeoke and as an acoustic guitar-vocal solo act.

 

Since choosing to pursue music as a full time career, Darius has been recognised with several awards, including being the recipient of the Ace Guitar scholarship from ICMP in 2022 and winning the Singapore Youth Music Award for Best Rock Single in 2021 with The New Modern Lights.
