Laura Duarte

Originally from Portugal and currently based in the UK, Laura is a singer-songwriter and professionally trained vocal coach. She relocated to the UK in 2020 to further her academic and artistic development, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Popular and Commercial Music at the University of South Wales.

With extensive performance experience across a wide range of professional contexts, including full band productions, solo and acoustic performances, and choral settings, Laura brings a versatile and adaptable approach to vocal coaching. Her diverse background enables her to work effectively with singers from various musical genres and stylistic demands.

Driven by a continued exploration of vocal function and expression, Laura completed a Master’s degree in Vocal Studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), where she developed a holistic understanding of the voice as an integration of physiological function, emotional experience, and embodied awareness. Her teaching combines evidence-based vocal technique with emotional awareness and muscle tension release, supporting sustainable vocal health, technical development, and expressive freedom within a structured and supportive learning environment.
