Vincenzo Lo Vasco 

Born in Sicily in 1997 and now based in London, Vincenzo Lo Vasco is a session musician, music educator and Co-Founder of The Riff Music Academy.

With more than 10 years of teaching experience, he specialises in personalised guitar tuition for children, teenagers and adults of all ages and levels.

Vincenzo began studying classical guitar at the age of 12 and formed his first rock band that same year, performing live from the age of 13.

He developed his musical foundation through private music theory studies before training for three years at Milan's Rock Guitar Academy, where he studied under Mattia Tedesco.

​

He went on to study BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London, working with leading educators including Adam Goldsmith, Rich Perks, and Tolis Zavallaris. He graduated with First-Class Honours.

​

As a professional session guitarist, Vincenzo has worked across live performance and studio settings with artists including SamRecks, Nia Chennai, Rio Rainz, and ICXN, as well as other artists and musical projects.

His performance experience includes prestigious London venues such as the The Jazz Cafe, Southbank Centre, Scala, O2 Academy Islington, and Ninety One Living Room. In 2025, he toured major European theatres with Lords of the Sound Orchestra, performing at venues including Prague Congress Centre and Wiener Stadthalle.

Vincenzo teaches guitar lessons in London across a broad range of styles, including classical guitar, acoustic guitar, fingerstyle, electric guitar, pop, rock, funk, R&B, blues and metal. He also teaches music theory, guitar sight-reading, improvisation, technique, songwriting and harmony.

His experience as a working session guitarist informs a practical and adaptable approach to guitar teaching. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether they want to learn their favourite songs, develop their technique, prepare for performances or exams, improve their music theory, write songs, improvise, or develop their own sound.

As Co-Founder & Musical Director of The Riff Music Academy, Vincenzo helps shape the academy's musical standards, tutor community and approach to music education.

The Riff was founded on the belief that music lessons should be personal, inspiring and genuinely connected to the way people want to learn music today.

​

As an educator, Vincenzo works with complete beginners through to advanced players, helping students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence, creativity, technical ability and their own musical identity. His teaching philosophy is centred on making music education engaging, individual and relevant to each student's goals.
